How to clean black fiberglass insect screen

There are two steps:

1.Remove From Window There are a variety of types of window screens. Remove most styles of window screens by sliding the mechanism on each side of the bottom of the screen frame, then lift the screen in its track and pull out by the bottom of the frame. Take your time removing the screen to prevent damage to the black fiberglass mesh. Black fiberglass window screens can tear easily if they are rubbed against a sharp surface, so be careful where you place them and how they are carried.

2.Wash Place the window screen in a tub or clean outside. Mix a bucket of warm soapy water. Use a cleaning rag to wash the black mesh screen. If possible, lay the black fiberglass mesh window screen on a flat surface so there is no risk of pushing the screening out of the screen track. Wash gently to remove the soil from the screen. Start from the top and rinse with clear water to remove the soap and remaining soil. Gently dry with a towel or allow to dry in a sunny location. If the screening is loose, use a screening roller to press the gasket holding the screen back into place. If you do not have a screening roller, use a narrow flat-edged tool, such as a flat screwdriver, to carefully press the screen gasket back into position in the track.
